Col. Brandon & Marianne - Sense & Sensib
So I caught the end of the Kate Beckinsale version of Emma today which was surprising in itself. I say that because I would've assumed they would show the Gwenyth Paltrow one, and also because this one was a tv movie. Either way it was really good but I kept getting distracted because I knew I recognized the men who played Mr. Knightley and Mr. Churchill.

Well it turns out Mr. Churchill was young Scrooge from The Muppets Christmas Carol!! How I remembered him, though it was only a vague feeling, is beyond me!

And Mr. Knightley was Septimus from Stardust!! Love that movie and Septimus is awesome too, cause he's the "evil" brother XD

But I found a line near the end really creepy... but it's kinda spoiler-ish... so highlight if you want to read it:

At the end when Mr. Knightley purposes to Emma he says something like "I held you when you were five weeks old." And she responds to some effect, "Did you love me as much then as you do now?" Which is just kind of creepy. Ironically I adore Marianne/Brandon and the good Colonel could of easily said that to Marianne >.< I'm curious now if that line is in the book hmm.

/end spoilers :D

Sierra/Victor - Dollhouse
Just came back from seeing the new Star Trek movie and I loved it! It makes me want to watch the original series :D I'll admit I found the Spock/Uhura ship completely awesome!

Also I've been watching Scrubs lately and I can't help wondering why it took me so long to get into this show!!

Col. Brandon & Marianne - Sense & Sensib
So yeah I'm still alive despite not posting in what seems like forever... then again I'm leaving on vacation in two days so it'll be at least a week before I post again >.<

Besides that I finally finished reading Sense & Sensibility!! I've been wanting to read the book for a long time now so I finally did just that! Well actually I read it as well as listened to it as I downloaded an audiobook version as well. I'll admit that sometimes I get lost in Austen's way of writing and I found that hearing it alongside seeing the words helped.

With that admitted... I love Col. Brandon and Marianne! It wasn't as much the main focus but I was still drawn to it rather then to the Elinor and Mr. Ferrars relationship, even though I'm more of an Elinor myself... then again maybe that's why I liked the couple so much?
Or it could just be because Alan Rickman played Col. Brandon in the '95 movie ;D That's not really it but still... Alan Rickman!

I'm reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman now, which I've heard a lot of good things about! So far it's good but I just have one question, how do you pronounce Aziraphale?? It's been driving me crazy!

Anyway going to stop there as I'm about to have dinner.

Donald's Pants - Donald Duck
I just finished an icon snagging spree and I couldn't even use any of them...

So I upgraded to a plus account :D I'll have to learn to deal with the ads but they're not as intrusive as I thought they would be so yay? I might want to move them though. Can you even move them?

Anyway I saw Monsters vs Aliens on Friday. It was hilarious! I do agree with some reviews I've read that the story needed some help but it was still a great film! Plus the 3D was very natural, like Coraline, besides the one tacky use of it but it was done as a joke I think. Overall a great film!

Went to the Farmer's Market yesterday which was fun. Gots me some Turkish Delights, which were very yummy!! Though the trip was cut short since my mom got called into work and I had to go with her. This was fine until it turned into a 3hour visit. Luckily I got to use the internet on one of the other computers so that helped the time pass. Then again I didn't want to go to any of my regular sites in case they could get my mom in trouble (thinking dA, facebook here) so I played a lot of Sudoku and Conceptis Puzzles, particularly the link-a-pix. Also had Youtube playing in the background with some songs.

On that note, I found a new group of singers, The Puppini Sisters. Basically they're a revival of 30's style music a la The Andrews Sisters, it's awesome! And as a bonus they did a cover of my new favourite Kate Bush song, Wuthering Heights!
